The armchair from Noyer was designed in connection with the Danish TV program: Denmark’s Next Classic. Although it is not possible to just sit down and decide to design a piece of classic furniture, we think we have created a chair which has the potential to become a classic and timeless piece of furniture.

The design process surrounding our armchair has been very different from our table designs. There has always been a very clear vision and not one curve in the chair is random. The armchair is filled with soft lines, yet still has a tight look – in both leather and wool.

Description

The armchair is produced in four models. Two of them are upholstered in aniline leather in either black or cognac and two are upholstered in light or dark grey Hallingdal wool. The visual expression is very different from model to model, but a common trait is the comfort and the beautiful design.

The three legs of the chair are an eminent interplay between walnut and brass, where the strengths of both materials are utilized to the maximum.

The asymmetrical design makes the armchair extremely exciting to look at from all sides. It is particularly suitable as a free standing chair in a room in which it can be seen from all angles. Throughout the design process, there has been a focus on high seating comfort, and the asymmetrical shape of the chair creates the opportunity for many different seating positions.
