Cutting board

The cutting board is perfect for elegant serving as the size of the board means it can also be used as a dinner plate for more rustic serving. The cutting board is designed to be as functional as possible. The opposite angled edges make the board easy to grab when it is laying down, in both wet and dry conditions.
The size of the board means that it can easily fit in a standard kitchen sink, which makes for easy cleaning of the board.

More about the cutting board

One of the advantages of the opposite angled edges on our cutting boards, is that it is easy to grab when placed on a table – even when wet.
Functionality has been a key word throughout the development of the cutting board, and this is also reflected in the design. The idea with this cutting board is that it should be used diligently, and therefore it is small enough that it can fit in a standard kitchen sink.

In addition, the cutting board can also be used as an elegant serving dish, where only the imagination puts limits on the possibilities of use.

Walnut cutting board

The cutting board is made of American walnut. This type of wood is also called “gunwood”, as it is used for manufacturing rifle flasks due to its high dimensional stability. The tree has a deep, dark and almost purple-violet color.

The tree originates from the North American belt, where it grows naturally. All american walnut trees used to make Noyer’s cutting boards come from sustainable agriculture.
Since walnut is an organic material, the color and appearance of the walnut will change character over time.

The cutting board is treated with cold-pressed flaxseed oil from Nyborg gaard. After processing, the cutting board is dipped in an oil bath and left to dry, where the organic oil has time to penetrate into the cutting board. Cold-pressed flaxseed oil is in fact the same as a cold-pressed linseed oil.
